If I was going to do a 2 over-night/3day back-pack trip in Yosemite, what would you suggest?

I prefer views of water to mountain-tops.

Half Dome - there is a back-packer's camp part way up. Take gloves for the trip up the cables to the top of Half Dome. It is THE hike in Yosemite.
