Nostradamus's prophecies end at 3797. The bible says something about 7 years of pain and suffering before the world ends or was it 3? Nostradamus's prophecies seem to always come true. So this seeks to give a clue.

By the world'll end, I really didn't mean anything specific but I'll choose humanity.

Well i will say that the technological and scientific world will end on the year 2012(3rd world war) as Nostradamus has predicted that after the 3rd world war the whole world will be drowned and a new world i.e new mankind will re-appear...

Ya it is sure that Nostradamus has prophecies up to year 3797...

Albert Einstein has said That if 4th world war will take place the only weapons will be the sticks and stones... as after the global warming there will be no more scientific technologies!!!

I say that only the Nature has got the power to have an end to this PLANET EARTH

I read the book about Nostradamus predictions.
And it was very evident that the writer who corelated the predictions to his predictions was trying very had to justify himself.
In one of the predictions he translated the word 'crow' to mean the 'USSR'. I find that funny.
Why are are the prophecies so cryptic. Why cant they be specific.
Why is a lot of deciphering required.
Compare Nostradamus to the predictions of Muhammed which are so specific that even a layman can corelate them to real events. It doesnt need an expert on history or whatever blah blah to explain things off.

And by the way if the world is going to end the way the bible, torah and the Koran say it will then there is nothign that any human can do about it. So just live life in a worthy manner.

You must keep in mind that Nostradamus's predictions were written many, many years ago in a archaic language. When translated it could mean more than one thing. I don't believe that his prophecies are realised, as I think that people have just tabbed something that is similar to what has happened to his prophecy.

No one knows the time or the day that the world will end, not even Jesus -only our father in heaven.

Sweetheart, please rest your mind and heart and just be happy with what you have right now. Stop worrying about what will happen.

Suppose you had a chance to bet 100.00 in order to win a million? You had two horses to bet on. The person who took your bet told you of the two strongest horses. He said the first is named White Lightening and that the horse always seems to win. But that other horse named Black Thunder always wins...

Which would you place your money on?

Concerning the end of this world age, as we know it, many have said many things but Jesus gave us a sure answer. He said that, "when the Gospel of the Kingdom is preached to 'all' the world, then the end will come.

Other than this truth, not even Nostradamus can come in showing.

The Mayans put it at 2012, if that helps. I think the Earth will probably continue longer than mankind, so you have to decide if "the world" is the planet itself, or human society. As for Nostradamus, his prophecies are way too vague to be useful.

Nostradamus' predictions haven't proven to come true. Many people make the claim that some of them have.
as for the world ending I would rather worry about global warming or the problems that society faces in the immediate future.

We keep pumping oil out of those huge pools below the earths crust and during the next big quake the crust will drop thousands of feet in some countries.

That should get the ball rolling on the end of the world as we know it however the earth as a whole will survive.

I concur with derekjw. The Mayan calendar ends on December 21st 2012. Deeper investigation has cross-referenced many sources that point to a similar point in time. I think on that day we should all have a beer or whatever alcoholic drink is fit for you and chill out.

The Bible reference you refer to is the 7 years of tribulation after the rapture, when Jesus has returned to collect His people.
The Bible states, "No man knoweth the day nor time"
