Horror movies

I don't know about statistics but I feel the reason why horror movies aren't that scary is for one thing people are trying to put their own little finesse to already made horror movies. That is so stupid and so not necessary. Also, I feel that their using too many computerized technology that it's draining the realness to the movie. All a horror movie needs is something simple and some kick *** make up effects and it would be good. they don't need some high end computer program to make it look good, it just makes it more fake. Lastly, the casting is so wrong because they sometimes choose comedians or musical artists or even "A" list actors/actresses. I would personally like some up-and-coming actor/actress, someone i haven't heard of because at least I know I wouldn't be expecting something usual from them.
