Is it true that the father cannot get visitation through them? Also if the father has a notorized document stating that the mother will not ask for child support, does she even have a case?

ok, sorry I confused some of you, I am not a lesbian, this is about a male friend. He ended up knocking up a ex-lover. She found out she was pregnant, then they agreed to get an abortion, he gave her the money, but she did not do it. She then later called him and said the child was NOT HIS, but that she did give birth to him. Three years later she notifyed him that the child was his, they got a paternity test and the child IS HIS. She said she didnt want any money, just if he wanted to know his child. She then came back a week later and said that her boyfriend would be mad if he was in his child's life and said she didnt want him there. So my friend decided to leave them be and not rock the boat. Then she came to him again 3 years later and said the child wanted to meet him. He met with him and wanted to continue to see him, then the babys mama said she wanted $150.00 a week for him to see him (in cash). He said no to paying in cash, now she wants to take him to the state family court

if the mother signed a statement why would she waste the states time if i was in charge she would not receive support the statement would be binding in a court of law. unless she can prove she did not sign it as far as him seeing the child he would have the rights and if she did not follow court orders i would throw her in jail. in other words she was ignorant for signing such statement and should lose the child to the father

without the rest of the story--hard to say. Just because you donated the sperm, doesn't make you a father. By your own admission, she signed a paper- that you don't have any rights to the child -because you play no supportive role in this child's life. You made that choice. Was this agreement to concieve a child to a lesbian or a lady that just wanted a child. Are you and the lady at the time-"in a relationship"? If so, you pay child support and stand up as a man and a father. If it was just an arrangement- sorry you lost your parental rights- if is her decision to include or exclude you from the child

A lot of that depends on the states laws and the judge who gets the case....they usually give visitation unless there is a good reason not to, the document may not have much bearing the support is for the kids not the momma.....

Get a DNA test done...The man has to pay for that..if he is the father he has to pay support..it all gets worked out through court and the prosecutor..visitation/custodyrights are then set up...If there is a legal/notarized document about the mother saying she will not ask for support then she screwed herself..no case there...

I think it varies from state to state. But I thought that no matter what child support is to be paid and visitation depends on if that parent is stable to care for that child.
