A guy I work next to (in a different department than mine) just started talking to me like a couple of weeks ago, even though when I met him I was really not very nice. I want to apologize to him but not if he doesn't remember...what should I do? He is nice and I think we can be friends. Ideas?

Do not bring up the past and make it important and embarrassing. Just smile a lot and be nice to him next time he talks to you and I am sure he will take it up from there. You seem to be a nice girl.

If you wanted to be a little more encouraging, you could say, to him "I was just going to get a cup of coffee, I'll bring you one too".

Wouldn't Worry About It Just Concentrate On Being Friends. Good Friends Are Hard To Come By. Besides Later Down The Line Just Bring It Up And Have A Good Laugh. He Probably Will Not Even Remember.

I would not bring it up at all. Just start being nice and friendly. If he remembers what you have done, he will conclude that you must have just been having a bad day/hard time (we all have those sort of days after all, and he will be seeing very clearly that you are a nice person). If he doesn't remember, then perfect! You are on a fresh start. Chances are though, he definitely does remember, its hard to forget when someone treats you unkindly. But the bad is quickly buried by the good, so I think you will wind up buddies in no time flat! good luck.

Just tell him that you are glad he is still talking to you when the first time you met he caught you on a bad day. laugh it off. if he says he didnt notice say something cute about it being a good thing. If he does remember just laugh and be humbleand apologize.

Let the past be the past and concentrate on the future. Learn from the past in order to change your life for the better (e.g. don't be mean to people when you first meet them), but don't let it hold you down. It'll be stressful to obsess over it. Just be happy that you have found a new friend and forget about what happened.

Ummmmm when he walks up and starts to talk to you just say something like. I think I talked to you before but I was really rude to you and sorry about that was just having a really bad day. Maybe invite him out to drinks or something after work.....

Just forget about it unless he brings the subject up. Then apologize. Or bring it up when your friendship gets closer. good luck!

Just start with an apology. It couldn't hurt.
