What is the more 'humane' way of being put to death?

All of those forms have some draw backs.

Perhaps the guys on the firing squad were up late the night before on a drinking binge, and their aim and general demeanor is not what it should be when they aim for the heart...and miss. Oops.

Sitting in a chair being flash fried can't be all that humane and there have been several instances in which inmates were not instantly killed, but had to be subjected to multiple electric shocks.

"Hanged by the neck until dead." Well, what happens if the neck in question doesn't snap immediately? The person just dangles and jerks around as they slowly asphyxiate.

And lethal injection? Well, out of the four you mention, that's probably the most humane...a little pin prick and two intravenous catheters are inserted in the arms and the chemicals are magical injected and the person dies within 7 minutes. (hopefully)

Is there a humane way to put someone to death? Probably not. But then again what's humane about the death penalty?

It's not humane to put anyone to death. I believe that people should be kept in prison, it's a more effective punishment. Putting people to death only rewards revenge for living relatives. That's inhumane.

Hanging. The neck is snapped and therein quite final.
No pain or suffering.
Although it may look like a slow death it's not. The body may jerk and twitch a while but that's only the body's reaction.

Firing Squad is the most humane. The electric chair is just you being cooked until death, lethal injection tends to go wrong and you end up in rather a lot of pain because the anaesthetic doesn't work. Hanging is too swingy.

If you wish to go humane, then lethal injection would be the way.

But some do not deserve those niceties. Those who deserve it, firing squad or a shot to the head. Pretty quick and painless.

Well not sure about the painless part, as I've never experienced any of it.

probably lethal injection, however, I really don't care much whether or not the method is human... I think the whole process is flawed and should be revamped so that the burden of proof is much greater for a death sentence but if achieved the sentence is carried out much quicker

Going to sleep and never waking up. If this is in regards to people on death row, just put something in their food. They will go to sleep without all of the stress of waiting for that stay of execution call.

If I had to choose,I think it would be lethal injection, that wouldnt mess my hair up as badly,,,,,and they had better use an alchohol swab where they are puncturing my body! Isnt that similar to the way we put animals down when they are suffereing?
