was the unknown virus that Jenny died of at the end of the movie?

After I watched the movie I realized that it was AIDS, but I wanted to ask anyways just to be sure, it is sad because most likely he was going to die of AIDS also. I like him a lot, he is a little slow but he was full of love and that is all it matters.

Yeah, it was HIV, she was pretty promiscuous and used a lot of drugs, and she said the doctors didn't know what was wrong with her.

I think it was AIDS. I've always gotten that impression every time I've watched the movie. Good question!

She did a lot of drugs so I'm sure it was aids.

Because it was the 80's and she did alot of drugs and slept around it was probobaly aids.It wasn't clear back then what the virus was.
