Not unless the company who issued the policy makes this knowledge public. If you have this kind of worry..perhaps a private investigator would be good idea..and have him check up on the person or person you suspect of having the policy

No, you would have to check with every insurance company which operates in your state... there's no simple way of going about that.
I want to add that some of answers are complete lies. You can insure anyone through some insurance companies, that is determined by company policy. All you need to know is their full name and social security number. With that you can insure anyone. One of my bosses had private life insurance on all of his employee's and none of us ever signed anything (it was construction.) approving this. One employee died in a car accident and he collected $100k, the family was upset, but nothing could be done about it...

That's a very odd question. You can take an insurance policy out on someone's life.....

NO, that is considered private info. A person can not take out a policy on you without you signing. Another thing, to take out an insu. policy, the person has to have "an insurable intrest" in you. (spouse, children, parents etc.)

I don't think someone can take a life insurance policy out on you without your signature.
When my husband set up ours, he had to get my signature to say it was OK for him to be the beneficiary on my policy.

Go into hiding for a month and see if someone tries to collect on you.
