Um, many people talk about 666, and all the people like Julius something Ceaser, Ronald Wilson Reagan (joke from somehwere, and not sure if spelt right), and other stuff. But i've also been told, by people i consider "smart" people who watch the news and stuff, that "scientist" or whoever are the people that study the bible, found that the number is 616. Has anyone else heard that, and if so, can you give me a source.

I read that 666 is picked because it is 111 or 1 if you're talking about 6, short of 7 (the holy/perfect/lucky number).
