There are a lot of ideas, but no one really knows for sure. In the Bible, the book of Revelation deals with the end of the world (some of the signs have apparently appeared, others not yet), but no one knows for sure. Shortly after Christ's death, His apostles thought "I am coming soon" meant next week, or even tomorrow, but really what is soon to God? If 6 days that it took to create the Earth in God's time translates to over 4 billion years our time, we could have a while to wait yet. Blessings,

No no-one knows when but they say that when the sun runs out of fuel then the earth will eventually stop because the earth has no light. The sun gets fuel from asteroids and burns them up there isnt always goin to be asteroids so the sun is slowly losing mass.

nope. though some civilization (I think it was the Aztecs, but I'm not sure), made out a calendar with huge events. and every event in their calendar has happened so far. the last day on their calendar is December 12, 2012. if I'm not mistaken, they think that's when the world is going to end. but no one can say for sure. my guess is as good as anyone else's.

People can make all kind of guesses, but only God knows when the world is going to end. I wouldn't want to know when it was going to end, that would ruin my day.

somewhere in the bible it says the world will end when israel and umm...crap i forgot the other country but its by israel...but anyways the bible says when israel and that other country make peace the world will end.
