Go to your local Humane Society or animal shelter there you will find a lot of things to do.They also will have a list of vets and city officials.Most townships,cities have jobs helping with the animals or structural things were you could use your time helping other in need as well as make a living.

Get a degree in environmental science. Then you can work on environmental policy issues or in the field studying wildlife habitats, water or even air. There is also a list serve newsletter called job seeker for environmental jobs
