We don't want to keep immigrants out. We want to keep ILLEGAL immigrants out. There's a very important difference.

The United States does not specifically state that they want to keep legal immigrants out but the emotionally charged illegal immigration issue seems to be bringing out alot of biased opinions. I think it is due to a fear of losing "American" culture and the "English" language. Whenever and wherever people feel as though their cultural values are being threatened there is an increase in prejudice and racism. Unfortunately this is an ingrained cultural protective device that all humans have, but all humans place different levels of importance to different cultural beliefs, ideals and practices. Only through education and tolerance can we combat illegal immigration from all sources at the same time not adding to racism.

For the simple fact that they are not immigrants. Immigrants come to border and go through the process of relocating to a new country, with the full expectation of working, living, and obeying to rules of that country. They do it in the open light of day, in full view of any and everyone.
If I knock on your door and ask to be let in, you as the house owner make a decision to allow me access to your property. But if I come in the window, or sneak over the fence....what am I then?

I don't think the U.S. necessarily wants to keep out all immigrants in general. The U.S. just wants to be able to collect tax money from them like all other Citizens. The government wants to collect! Its all about that dolla!!

I don't understand why we just can't get along , most of the immigrantion issuse are targeted toward Mexicains,
in my personal opnion Native American Indians have more rights to this land then other race, and Mexicans are mainly Spanish and native American Indian, when we drove the indains out of this country the ones who did not starve to death went to Mecico. HMMM

If they really wanted all imigrants out they would've done it already it is just that they are afraid because they have realized that they cannot survive without out aur helping hands. Nobody else is going to do the "work" that immagrants do!

We are feeling bombarded with immigrants atm. And we also feel our culture is being threatened... 'press 1 for English' etc...

Do you know what "Illegal" means? Most all people in this Country are not against immigration. Why can't we get this through to everybody's head? "Illegal" means "Illegal" That means..IT'S AGAINST THE LAW! Get it?

not all immigrants, just illegal ones. there are legal ways to come to this country.
