My favorite is Spanish Flower on Houston and Main. They have the best Carnitas Plate and stuffed avacados. You cannot go wrong with either one.

Most restaurants are pretty good. Panchos - is not Mexican - it is taco bell in a restaurant. Try Molinas. Houston is very large - if you can find a "hole in the wall" restaurant that is probably where you find the best.

Well technically most restaurants are Tex-Mex. If you want true Mexican Food then a hole in the wall taquira is your best bet. (True Mexican food though may not be what you expect unless you know what Menudo is)
However Tex-Mex places that are excellent include:
Pappasitoes, Adobe Cafe, and Chuy's.
Those are my favorites.

My favorite Mexican restaurant is Doneraki (on Westheimer near Hillcroft). I also enjoy Mama Ninfa's (Richmond and Kirby) and Don Carlos (Southwest Freeway near Hillcroft).

Felix's on Westheimer and Montrose is a wonderful Mexican restaurant. I also adore Cafe Adobe and Mama Ninfa's, which are also located on Westheimer road.

I have lived here for two years now and still haven't found the "perfect" Mexican restaurant. But if you like fajitas, then Pappasito's is the best !!!

I personally like the Pancho's restaurants, and there are several. The fact that you can eat all you want is great, and all you have to do is raise the little flag to have your table waited on...very convenient. Even though they are a chain, and some are better than others, I still like them...Bon Appetite.

La Tapatia on Richmond. Authentic, down to earth pricewise, and very good.
