He really is a nice guy, and he has been nothing but nice to me for over 6 months and he told me that he loved me. But...Im just not ready for anything serious, (and long distance) I REALLY dont want to break his heart.... How do I let him down easy? :-(

Dont beat around the bush. Tell him that right now your not looking for a relationship and because of the distance, it wouldnt work out anyways. If he still persists just tell him plain out. You dont want a relationship with him, and that you could still be friends. Sorry, I know it sounds hard but believe me its the best way.

Tell him what a great guy he is let him down gentley.Tell him i think you are a awesome person,but i feel we should be better off as friends,Tell him right now i have alot on my mind and i am just not ready for a serious relationship but i really think you are a great friend and i dont want to lose you as a friend and i dont want to hurt you.

Tell him exactly that. That you're not ready for anything serious or long-distance. Say you really like him and you'd love to still be friends, but now is not a good time. Maybe later. :)

just tell him you dont like him like that but you would still like to be friends and he would make a great partner for someone else and make sure u add in that youre just not ready for a relationship

You just have to break his heart. Honesty does that that you know, it hurts. If you want to keep lying, just keep doing it, you've done it long enough, to 'not break his heart' YA RIGHT!.

just let him know what u feel and how you would want yall's relationship to be{ friends lover etc} u know. dont be harsh dont take ur time just get it out
