I was a gourmet chef, and I believe a unique and inexpensive centerpiece would be a vegetable flower arrangement. Example using a honey dew for the flower pot, using radishes, cut on each side to make flower pedals, cucumbers, kiwi fruit, scallions, carrots, roman tomatoes, cut with a paring knife in the middle of the tomato making v shapes all the way around...do the same with the carrots (peel first) cucumbers after making v shapes cut the outer skin away from the white part of the cucumber not all the way so that the skin fans out like flower pedals. The carrots after peeling make the same v shapes all the way through the carrot. place all of these veggies with skewers, (wooden sticks ) all the way through the veggies and sticking them in to the honeydew (first make sure you slice off the top of the melon, so that it will be easier to stick the skewers into the melon. Also slice off a small piece rom the bottom of the melon ,so that it will lay flat and not roll. For the green leaves, cut the scallions(green oinions ) using the bottom stem with the root lay onion flat cut in half the root half, cut long strips all the way through so that it looks like curly leaves place in a bowl with ice and the onions will curl faster. Use the wooden sticks and stick through the roots, amd stick these into the mellon use will have a beauitful centerpiece!!!! just make sure you use plenty veggie and onions to fill in the flowers to make it very full and no gasps. I hope this helps.

Depens on the theme of the wedding.

Shells are always cool. At Michel's Craft Store(I have no clue how u spell it. Sry) You can get a bag of shells. Fill a glass dish with sand, place a candle in the middle, and put some pretty shells around it. Sand dollars are great too. You can buy a pack of them for pretty cheap at a craft store.

Candles are really nice and are relatively cheap.

What you could also do is get a pretty glass bowl and fill it with water. Then add some pretty floating candles and some flower blossoms.

Flowers always are nice.
Depens on the color scheme, but you could fill a small basket up with flowers, or get a large vase w/ some smooth stones or marbles in it and put some pretty flowers in it. Roses are always good, but if u are looking for something a little bit less traditional & mor unique you could try something else, I like ferns for a little bit of greenery in with it. and orchids i luv.

One other thing you could do -this may sound kinda crazy but i've seen it done (seriously at my cousins barmitzva they did it) and it llooks SOOO SOOOOO SOOOOO COOOOLLLLL!!!!!-

You get a large cylander vase (or a large round one works too) and fill the bottom with smooth stones or marbles(u choose) then, in the vase, you put a beta fish or a gold fish.(feeder fish are SUPER cheat at any pet store-only like 65cents but they can die easily) Beta fish last longer(may be a little bit more expensive, but they look much prettier and they are very hardy.)and look just as cool.

Good luck with the centerpiece & i hope you will be able to use one of my ideas!

If you live in LA you can go to Downtown shopping center and you can find great stuff, and its all cheaper by a dozen. Then you can put fake flowers also cheaper and design them, its easy and unique.
