I would try a small section at a time 1st, but maybe the hand cleaner that mechanics use called goop. Use a small amount on a clean rag and scrub the affected area, wipe with a clean rag and follow up with a leather saddle soap type cleaner. Start with an area that you wont see easily first, if it doesnt discolor that area than you are good to go from there.

I don't know if this is something that you will work on leather but something similar happened to us. We had a sheep skin that got badly stained with grease from the closet door. I sent it to the dry cleaners and it came back better than new. I asked the dry cleaner what he used and he told me that white gasoline. Ask a dry cleaner where you live what they use for those types of stains and maybe they can help you out.

Miraclean 500, spray it on and use a soft brush, then wipe it off. Castrol Superclean and Whitmore Safety Solvent would also work. I would use the Superclean as a last choice, however it would probably be the easiest to find.

This will sound weird but it does work...really. Go buy you some aerosol BRAKE CLEANER. Spray it on the grease...and wipe it off...may take a couple of tries but it will take the grease away. There will be a residual odor left from the brake cleaner but it will go away after a few days.

first make sure it,s real leather, if it is get a bottle of a product called goof-off it will remove anything , but is it is plastic it will melt it if you leave it on to long. I buy it at Lowes or Manards.
