My boyfriend and I have been dating for 4 years now. We started dating before I went off to a major university. After a year, he moved up there with me (It's only 70 miles from where home is) He recently got into MIT the awesome technical school is Boston, Mass. I told him that if he didn't ask me to marry him I didn't know if I would go with him. We currently live in Texas and that is why I asked such a huge thing from him. I know he packed up and moved 70 miles, but I would be moving all the way across the country. Is it totally wrong of me to want this?

Honestly, I don't think there's anything wrong with your intentions, but you may not be happy with the outcome. Do you really want him to marry you just so you'll move there? Or, do you want him to marry you because he's ready and he loves you?

Just something to think about.

He made the choice to move with you to Texas and now he's asking you to make a similar sacrifice. That's a choice you'll have to make, without stipulations or agendas. Don't make deals when it comes to love and relationships because life has shown me, it never works out the way you wanted it to.

When you make demands like this... the love you have becomes an obligation. Say good-bye to your relationship. You are putting undue stress on him. You are being selfish. Finish up your education. Men come and go. You did not mention love for this man. If you love him, go with him without a marriage proposal, he came to you with one-right. Be more supportive and less selfish. Both of you need to be open and honest -then make the decision with out demands.

Tell him your tired of giving him the milk. Tell him it is time to buy the cow. I don't think it is wrong. But you shouldn't tell him that you will break everything off either. I'd just tell him that you won't move with him unless you are married. That you are tired of playing house with him. You should also see why he doesn't want to get married first. See what he's reasons is.

Not wrong for feeling this way, I mean you love this man and have plenty of history with him. Do you feel in your heart that he is the one? Did you finish school or can you finish up there? I know you love him, but remember to put yourself first if you may mess up your future. I know with love you take chances, but all i'm saying is make sure he is and will be out for your good.

No, it's not wrong. You need to make sure there's a future between the two of you.

Or else find out if you should go on with your life.

Perfectly reasonable.

the appropriate component to do is to pass residing house and have your fiance save on with for a fiance visa for you. as quickly because it is approved, you could enter the U. S. and have ninety days to marry and save on with to your spousal visa. you could in all hazard proceed to be interior the U. S. on an identical time because it is processed. in case you marry on an identical time as on a tourist visa, you could set off a marriage fraud study (a tourist visa isn't for procuring married!), and could be required to return residing house on an identical time as your spousal visa is processed -- and it may take 2 or thrice longer to get a spousal visa than getting a fiance visa. in case you pass residing house and your fiance gets you the fiance visa, you comprehend you're following suited technique and issues could desire to pass a lot speedier, greater fee-effective & less demanding than taking pointless adverse aspects.

Why don't you ask him to marry you?

Instead of an ultimatum, just propose to him.
