most people don't dream about dying because they have never been in a situation where they were close to dying so their brain can't comprehend it as real. So as soon as you become close to dying, the rational part of your brain thinks "this ain't right" so you either start dreaming about something else or wake up.
People who have had near-death experiences may dream about dying. Or the very imaginative.

BEcause the moment you are going to die, the dream is so scary that you wake up. Try dreaming after taking sleeping pills.

If you die in a dream, you blank out as you would in life, but instead of actually dying, you wake up. I believe it's probably the same going both ways. If you die in life, all your really doing is waking up.

Apparently... if you die in a dream, you're supposed to die in real life because your brain registers the dream as real. However true this may be, you actually don't die if you have a fear of it; the adrenaline will knock you back into consciousness.
I however, die in my dreams too often to be normal...

I have to disagree. You do die in your dreams. I did. It was right after 9/11 and I dreamt that I was running and a big wave came over me and I died. I have to say I was three blocks away on that day so that's probably why.

Because they say that if you die in your dream than you will actually die in real life, from being scared soo bad that it causes a heart attack and you die

I did! I was running between two buildings, being chased by a man with a gun. I turned around just in time to see him raise the gum, then suddenly there was a loud bang, I felt like a bee stung my chest as I was being flung into the side of the building. Laying there, I looked down and saw a big hole with blood pouring out of my chest, then it started to hurt and I was making panting noises. As my breathing became labored, my nose was getting clogged with something and I could taste a nasty metallic taste, then I realized it was blood! Filling my nose and mouth! Things were starting to spin and I tried to get up but couldn't. I felt like I was going to throw up, then things were turning black, off and on. Finally they stayed black. I was spinning, turning and tumbling in a black void and yet I could hear voices say things like: Someone help her. Someone call an ambulance, Who has a cell phone. Oh my god. Look at her chest, Gees. She is dying. Then the words started to fade, I was making gasping sounds, then there was NOTHING! And I woke up! I defiantly think I died in that dream! Wow was it ever a nightmare!!!!!!!!!!!!

You never die in your dreams because no mater how upset you are and even if you hate your life your soul lives forever. Nobody can see his own death, dreams are a projection of real life in our mind so you can't imagine something you never seen; you didn't saw your death so it isn't possible.

If you die in your dream, then you really die in real life. I saw that in a movie once.
So I've never died in my dreams, because if I did, then I wouldn't be here answering your question.
