For women who are pregnant, many of the activities found at amusement parks are not recommended.
All amusement park pose warning signs not to ride certain rides during pregnancy. Although there are no studies documenting a problem with these types of rides while you are pregnant, there are no studies documenting that they are safe either.
The concern with roller coasters, thrill rides, and virtual rides during pregnancy is associated with the rapid starts and stops, the jarring forces, and the pressures against the body that occur during these types of rides. This rigorous activity creates additional jarring forces within the uterus that may lead to premature separation of the placenta from the wall of the uterus, which is called placental abruption.
The jarring force from even slow automobile accidents has caused placental abruption, miscarriage and other complications for women who are pregnant even when the trauma is not directly to the uterus. Although the jarring force is usually less with amusement park rides, it still warrants precaution.
Although there are women who have been pregnant and ridden the various thrill rides without complication, it is a risk that should be avoided. Amusement parks are good at identifying rides that pose risks to pregnant women .
The safest course of action is to play it safe and avoid the rides that pose a risk; you can always return to the park and enjoy the rides after you deliver your baby.

I went to an amusement park when i was pregnant with my son, i steered clear of all the rough rides but had fun eating lots, looking at the attractions and playing games in side show alley. When my friends went on the rides i just sat back and watched them - I was a little bit disappointed that i couldn't go on the rides with them, but overall i still had a good day!!!

It's not bad to go to the amusement park, but you should avoid the rides while you are pregnant. Enjoy the food and games for now:)

I do not believe it is "bad" to go to amusements parks at 4 months pregnant. However I'd speak with your doctor to make sure they think it's okay. They'll probably tell you to stay away from jarring excitement filled rides (the whole point of going right). Have fun and enjoy.

well...best not to take advice from me, but....ive had 3 kids and am pregnant now...one kid was almost born at tha amusement park....
3rd pregnancy, summer 2000, disneyworld
I was 9 months pregnant and my husband & I took my 8 yr old son & 6 year old son to disney world on a vacation. i was carrying the 6 yr old. we were going on a log flume (NOT THE FAST ONES!!). i got on, and we started to swerve around. my 8 year old son, in fear, pushed down on my belly. i cried out in pain. i felt contractions every 10 seconds! they had to stop the ride and i got into the hotel room, and almost gave birth under the covers.
well im way too daring. lol. i would not particularly suggest going 2 an amusement park @ 4months, but its ok since ur only 4 months and have little risk of going into labor.

As the mother . . . if you love the baby you will make the best decissions for it.
If you feel up to going to the amusement park then go.
I personally would not ride any rides . . . at all. But I have a history of problems so I have to be extra careful . . . but it is always the decicion of the mother and what she feels is good and not good for her unborn child.

Are you on a special diet for the pregnancy?
Many rides are not safe for you.
But, just enjoying the atmosphere shouldn't be a problem unless you're on bedrest, etc.
Make sure to stay hydrated.
