He was a great president and that's all that matters in my eyes. We need separation from sex and state!
(And let us all remember indiscretions of former presidents...yeah I'm looking at you JFK!)

As a president, a fiscal manager of our country, he was second to none. No one can argue the numbers. He was popular with the women like no other since JFK. His moral standards leave a lot to be desired but again, let he who hath no sin cast the first stone. He made a mistake, probably quite a few. I lived good and was comfortable when he was in charge of this great country. I think George Bush is a great guy morally but when it comes to being the fiscal manager of our country, his overseas policies and peace-keeping abilities, he is the worst president we've ever had and runs neck and neck with lots of the third-world countries. We now have the fox guarding the hen house. There is no reason whatsoever for the gas prices to be the way they are as only about 15 percent of our oil comes from the middle east. Guess where the rest comes from. Our president's family made their millions from what???? You guessed it.....OIL.. If the price stays up he makes more money so why would he save the American people by trying to get the prices lowered? For Bill Clinton, I was discusted at his actions as a husband and father but also who knows what went on behind the scenes with Hillary. Anyone could see they couldn't stand each other but in order to get the big job they had to stay together and I'm sure it was a mutually agreeable marriage of convenience those last few years. As for my feelings for him, I think most of our country would break their necks for a chance to put him back in office for a 3rd, 4th, and 5th term after seeing what has happened to our country since he left office. George Bush has hurt the Republican party so badly I don't honestly think the party will recover and thrive again for years to come. I would bet everything I own that next election the Republican Party won't get 25% of the vote no matter how great a person they run or how bad a person the Democrats might run. I've heard life-long Republicans say they will never vote again. I never heard the first Democrat say anything that drastic because of Clinton. I think his reputation will improve with time and with Bush to compare him to.

Each individual person has his or her own opinions as to whether an individual should be judged positively or negatively, it is part of the privledge of being an American, we get to have the freedom of our own opinions. Former President Clinton, though he had some negative things happen during has done a lot to help reading in American schools and has a library in Arkansas and is working with Former President George Bush to end obesity in schools by taking out soda machines. There are positives and there are negatives about any person and one should judge by what is on the inside of a person and not the bad things the person did.

Bill Clinton was a past president of the United States. This is not an easy job to get or to hold. In that area he will always be respected historically as a one time leader of the United States of America. The hard part for most people is to separate his professional life as a president from his personal life. If you take away every scandal and gossip spread about him and look at only actual facts of what he did for our country he is no better and no worse then the presidents that have come before him.

I think most people look at him negatively as a person. He cheated on his wife, and this is not acceptable in our society.
As a president though, I think most people forget what he did for our country. He was wonderful in advancing our foreign relations. He was largely responsible for entering into negotiations with China. He also kept a stable economy, and even advanced it.
Probably the reason he is viewed so negatively is the fault of the press. If they can find some dirt on a famous person, they will, and they will play it out as much as they can. Since they reported all about his affair, and nothing about his role as a president, the everyday person probably doesn't know anything more of him than that.

I have always liked him. He was a good president. Even though he got of hand a couple of times. But my view is this,"he is a MAN". Yes he should have set a better example, but everyone makes mistakes. Just think about it, we didn't have any of the problems we have now when he was in office. He was one of the few presidents that we have had that was relaxed, and did his job without having other people to tell him. The one we have today can't make up his mind without someone else telling him it is ok. So yes, my view of Bill Clinton is POSITIVE.

The biggest problem when people discuss Bill Clinton is they mix his personal life with his professional. I have no respect for the man on an interpersonal level, but his life in office earns him my utmost respect!
He is the first President to ever get the United States to show a fiscal surplus. No other politician has ever been able to do that.
Mr. Clinton also found an acceptable balance between trying to appease the big political donors and the "little people" he was supposed to represent. When he found an issue he believed in, like universal healthcare, he fought for it until the end regardless of the political repercussions.
Judge the man's achievements, not his libido!

Bill Clinton was personally unfaithful and a liar, but that doesn't mean he was a terrible President. He successfully helped the UN solve the problems in Yugoslavia, he was able to keep the US out of Somalia's problems, and he led a fairly strong economy for his 8 years in office. He kept the US on fairly good ground internationally and kept the country relatively stable. That's a lot more than can be said for George W. Bush.

Most people view Bill Clinton in a positive way. Even though he had a affair, the USA was much better off when he was in office. When he was the President, we had hundreds of millions of dollars in a surplus, now with George W. Bush as President the country has billions in deficits.

Regardless of whether you look at him from a Democratic or a Republican viewpoint, you have to judge Clinton's presidency as positive. We had a budget surplus for only the second time in U.S. history; the economy was strong; jobs were being created, we were if not loved than at least tolerated abroad and we ,as a nation felt hopeful about the future. Bill might have skipped Vietnam 1 but at least he did not involve us in Vietnam 2 (Iraq). Did he have a moral lapse and lie to us? Yes, but so did our current president and the result of his lies are 2500 dead and $3 billion in debt. William Jeferson Clinton looks better every day.
