Hormones, stress at home, stress at school. Today's teens are under ENORMOUS pressure to do well and be on the varsity team and get into that music ensemble and go to college and be perfect at increasingly younger ages. Plus schools open at 7:30 or earlier and teens don't go to bed until 1 or 2 (because of those hormones) so they're sleep deprived.

I'm not a teen anymore, but I can certainly see why some are grumpy.

Its part of the teenage job description I remember thinking every adult I met was grumpy when I was 13. They just are, ignore em!

if you've noticed, most grumpy teenagers are BORED and dont have a clue what to do about it...maybe mom or dad gave them too much and havent let them work to accomplish...a much more gratifying experience.

They're constantly and naturally overdosed on hormones.

They have yet to realize that they're just as ignorant as the rest of the world.

One word -- Hormones.
