They are not chapped.....You have exama not sure how to spell it but you say it like x a ma I have it to and I do the exzact same thing.I have never heard someone do that to.My finger tips are the worst. And they get sore.Well my mom`s did it when she was younger but she grew out of it.But so far i`ve not.I`m 25 in August. Well I tried to mail u back and it said e- mail addressee not confirmed so I guess hurt is not the correct word to use it really don`t hurt but It feels like your feeling impaired or something.Mine bubbles up and then the skin loosens and that`s when I clip it off because I don`t like the way it feels. My finger tips are missing a layer now,It only seems to do it in the summer, and if I do a-lot of dishes.(now I have a dish washer)(goody)The most thing I hate about it is#1.. I don`t think you can feel as good as when their not peeling#2I don`t like other people looking at it when I was in school they did.#3When I hold my hubby`s hand I feel bad because I know it feels weird.Well i`ll talk to ya later.

More moisture in the air. Like the guy above said, just use the hand lotion. If it's very bad and bleeds at the slightest movement though, you can get a persecription for it.
