Most lizards are harmless and it fears you more than you fear it.
If you have a lizard in your home and you want it out, get a proffessional to remove it. Otherwise just give it time and it will find a way out. When I stayed in Thailand almost all the hotels had gekos on the ceiling. Despite the initual shock they are harmless and interesting to watch.
Its better not to touch most resptiles as they may have a disease on them.

If you kill a lizard it will come back and get you in the form of a demon.

The reason you feel this way probably goes way back to another time. Trust your instincts and don't kill it.
