I went to the doc yesterday and I am dilated to 2cm and 50% effaced. I'm 34 weeks and 2 days. Can labor happen anytime now. I'm on Breathin because of my contractions and that doesn't do anything. They are between 7-11 mins apart...

I don't know whether they are braxton hicks or real contractions. Some are so painful that it hurts to do anything, and others are slightly painful but bearable...

I would call your doctor just to be on the safe side. Women can be dialated futher then that and not go into labor. I was 5 cm and 80% effaced at 38 weeks, 3cm 80% at 36 weeks, 4cm 80% at 37. There is no telling when it will happen. I just really hope you had hold out for at least 2-3 more weeks. Good luck!!

It can depend. If the baby is ready to come out then yes, but mostlikely the drs will stop it
. At 30 weeks I dilated to 2 cm and was 25 % efaced and contractions 8-10 minutes apart but was stopped. At 38 weeks, I went to the dr. I was 4 cm, 100% efaced. Still contracting, but still nothing happend. Iwas sent home with pain meds. I went to walmart later that day and backthe the hosptial that night. My youngest wasborn that night

Okay. I don't think you need to go to the hospital, just yet. There's nothing worse than being sent home and told to drink a lot of fluids. One thing I remember my doctor asking me if I can talk through the contractions. If you can, then you can wait a little longer. 34 weeks is a little early. I know you're more than ready to meet your little one, hold on just a little longer.

After having 4 daughters, I can tell you YES. So, don't get too comfortable, it sounds like you might be on your way to the hospital. I did have one who took me thru two or three false labors, but, when I least expected, thinking it wasn't time, I barely made it to the delivery room. Wish you luck, take care

Hun your alreayd in labor. Once you get contractions and you are dialated you are in labor. Good Luck and Congrats to you.

I would go to the emergency room or talk to your doctor, because you could go into labor or false labor

if your in labor how come your able to type that paragragh? doesnt it hurt? wouldnt it be the last thing in your mind to go to the internet and ask if your in labor? jus askin, no biggie really...
