Rather than answer your own question, conduct your own test of the media. Buy newspapers (more than one), liberal & conservative compare how the news is dealt with. Really extend yourself and watch different news shows on cable, try fox news for a few days. You'll find that they aren't as biased as you think. If you are going to follow up a question with slurs against Republicans your mind is already made up, and there's really no reason to look any further though.

Yes. The idea of the "liberal media" is being used to a large extent as a marketing ploy by Australian Rupert Murdoch (Fox News). The fact that American hearts and minds are being manipulated by a foreign interest should be a cause for concern, but it goes largely unacknowledged.
Anyone who's worked in the media knows that newsrooms are as politically divided as any other workplace-- after all, your political affiliation isn't listed anywhere on the job application. I've worked for Republicans and Democrats in the media (at the same time and place), and what I can say of both is that they are generally too exhausted to try and slip their politics past each other.

The Media as a whole is proven to be liberal. I grew up in the era before Cable News Networks when all news came from CBS, NBC and ABC all were politically liberal then and they still are today. Additionally most major news papers and magazines have a documented liberal slant.
I agree however that the system is messed up and is in need of fixing.

I get in fights with friends all the time with this... Yes and No is the answer I can give. Sure, the media is a pack of sharks willing to pull at any little bits and blow them out of proportion but they do it to both Librals and Conservitives and those who are weakest at the time... So I mean sure you can classify them but the moment democrats are back in power it is all going to look very conservitive.

I think the several false reports that were rushed into broadcast recently pretty much sums up the fact that their liberal. In fact, altering documents and passing them off as true is about as bad as a news agency can get. So yeah, they appear liberal to me.

As a bumper sticker I once saw said: "The media is only as liberal as the conservative companies who own them."
The "liberal media" is just another excuse used by the right-wing to ignore facts.

When you get mindless talkers leading mindless followers this is what you get. Bill O'Reilly is the highest viewed television show on cable, which only backs up my claims.
