Because it satisfies the pleasure center of our brains. Sexual gratification (or pleasure) is one of the most intense human emotions, second only in intensity to Anger. Porn is also stimulating on numerous levels- physical, mental, and emotional.
As for porn only being for people that cannot get laid, that is not true. I know of quite a lot of couple who view porn together as a sexual aide or stimulant (To get in the mood). Porn is becoming more and more accepted, and moving more into the mainstream of society. As it becomes more widely recognized and accepted, more people from all walks of life view/look at it.
The weird thing is, 1 out of every 3 people who view porn will not admit doing so to anyone, because of the societal taboos against it. I once read that more than 65% of people in the US view some type of porn at least once a month, so that means that at least 17 of the people who have answered this question prior to me view porn.

Porn is a replacement for something that is missing in a person. Just like getting drunk it fills a person up temporarily but then they will need more again. It serves a craving but never fills it. There are many with active sex lives who still watch much porn. It has nothing to do with a sex life but more of a replacement for intimacy.

To the girl who said the dont get any, get ur facts straight! I use to watch porn everyday when I was a teen and I had more sex than I watched porn, but I guess ppl who dont get any rely on that to experience something thats not as good but better than nothing

because they live a fantasy and sometimes are too scared to live out there fantasy with someone they love, or like...so it could be therapeutic. when someone looks at porn doesn't necessarily mean they are a bad person, it depends what they are looking at (children, animals, etc means the person has a deep psychological problem and needs therapy) - porn, just like anything else can be addictive so watch out - don't let porn run your life - live to live don't live for porn!!

People like the physical response they get from pornography, just as people get a physical response from a drug or alcohol. But as with such counterfeits to what is real, the response comes with a price.

Internet porn is mostly made for men, by men. Guys watch it to get off. Simple as that. Girls may watch it a few times because they're curious, but odds are, they won't watch it nearly as much as any guy would.

Yeah! I don't get it!
Why do women enjoy watching all that pornography by themselves, or how they sit in clubs, just drooling at the strippers.
I just don't understand what motivates women to be so serious and secretive when they buy that XXXXX stuff all the time.
Don't they know they're embarrassing themselves??

I think that it helps people play out fantasies. And yes some can't get the person that they want so they go to the nxt best thing.
