i don't have a job now but i had, not so long ago.I noticed from that job and othr jobs i had, the co-workers and boss always look at me like i'm stupid just because i'm shy and quiet and i can't speak very well. But i do the job, so what's the deal with them talking behind my back or just having this discriminatory mindset just because i'm not like them. Do i have to be outgoing/sassy ? i don't want to so why everywhere, everyone wants me to be lke that. I'm usually serious and do my work, but i do'nt talk much to others and i don't make jokes. but that's me, so why they want me to be different.

You're in the real world, now, baby. Sad, but true.
Most people are out to advance their own agendas, especially at work where everyone's competing for more on the paycheck.
One common method of climbing higher is by finding ways to put others down. As the first responder indicated, your peculiarities are not the only one's picked on.
So keep your head up,
but don't become like them. And when you find another job, while you hope to find one where they will appreciate you for who you are, don't expect it. After all, everyone is there to make money, not to become your best friend ( although that can happen).

That's life. Seems it's the azzholes that kiss azz get promoted. Everyone has to pick what is most important to them, their dignity, or the money.
Jimmy isn't taking into consideration the attitude people in the u.s. have adopted since the mid 1980's probably too young to know.
You are not doing any thing wrong. You are probably in the wrong line of work. Maybe it's time to change careers? Go take a career assessment test, it might help you find where you are best suited. You may get to be around like minded people.
don't worry about ((tajo))...probably doesn't understand 'american' culture and how it's changed.

All you have to be is what you are, as long as you are happy with yourself. Others opinions are insignificant. They are likely petty, juvenile, immature idiots. Pay them no mind. If it really bothers you, come up with some snappy come-backs, like "how many times do I have to flush before you go away?" That will at least give them pause!!

If this is happening at more than one job it is probably you and not everyone else. You should do some soul searching and see how you can change.

When life doesn't go the way you plan, it's because God has better ideas......
You are fine the way you are, unless your not.
Forgive people their misunderstandings........ they might not be what you think.
Be the best version of Love you can be.... whatever you imagine that is.

See, people like Lenora stereotype others. Which is exactly what you are complaining about. Much help she was.
