Why are people against gay marriage? Does it ACTUALLY hurt anyone?

No Matter what people say, god loves love(marriage and commitment to any person), and God made people Gay, it is not a choice... For anyone who says that gays should not get married because they cannot have kids, does that mean we should not allow the elderly to get married, or men and women who cannot medically have children??? The world has millions of children who are famished and hungry, is it such a terrible thing that two people don't want kids even? ( cuz many heterosexuals dont want kids either)

It doesn't hurt people - it scares them. Unfortunately, people are narrow minded. The population wouldn't decline (as if that would be a bad thing). Every man is not going to be in a gay relationship and every woman isn't either. There are plenty of straight folks that will have children. And the gay couples can adopt all of the children that need homes that the narrow minded (so called) christians won't. I am straight and I can't wait to see the first gay couple in this country legally married.

Im not for or against it. There are bigger problems in this world that need to be dealt with. So what if two women/men want to be legally married and be afforded the same rights as a married couple. Let them have that luxury and piece of mind. All I ask of any couple,gay or straight, is watch your PDA's somethings are better left behind closed doors. I plan on telling my child when he is old enough to understand about gay people because I want him to know about different types of people and not be prejudiced.

David, there is easy way to answer this question. I will try to without being rude or offensive. It is not natural for two species of the same sex to mate and reproduce. Male and Female were created for that purpose not two males nor two females. I understand the part people fall in love with who they choose and that is your right to love whom you choose. I feel like it hurts to two people involved because they have given up on life. If you know what I mean. The same qualities that one finds in the same sex is also out there in the opposite sex you just have to be patient and hopeful that you will bump into it sooner than later. I hope this gives some insight to why people feel that way. They are some many arguments about this subject, this is just one of many.

well... im not against homosexuals, but i think they should create their own traditions and not use marriage because this originated from the bible. it's a religious thing (covers any religion that believes in the bible -- old or new testament). and usually, the church is against this type of union (same-sex marriages) -- i don't know if there is any type of religion out there that actually support this (note: religion is different from cult) even if the church is against it, im not really against it (im straight by the way) because if 2 people love each other no matter what, then i think they deserve to be together.... but using marriage for someting that it's not supposed to be used for, i think it degrades the value of the religion. like what i said, i suggest they come up with their own traditions, with their own rituals. there's nothing wrong with that.

i respect them enough for their sexual orientation, all im asking is for them to respect my religion. and hey! homosexual people adopt children -- im all about pro-life. i know this sounds 2-sided, my decisions are usually influenced by morals and not just by religion or culture alone.

God hates sin. And it is a sin to be in a lesbian or homosexual relationship. Should we approve this gay marriage if God Himself is against it? We should follow what is only right and just before God. It may not hurt you but it breaks the very heart of God to see His creatures disobeys His law.

yes it "hurts" the hetro people.....because allowing two men/women to be married does nothing for society....while a man and a women can creat a family..... see the ever so slight difference... If two women marry = no kids, no reproduction.

Gay marriage = No more humans.
