It depends. Older Holleys and Carters are based on a weber design and only have rubber on the accelerator pump. The power valve is a steel needle and the disassembly is done from the top. The newer holleys have lots of rubber. The power valves are on the bottom on most models and tend to become damaged about twice a year. But they are simple as well. Don't try to rebuild a Rochester unless you've been trained.

If you have never done one before, I would not suggest doing it. The actual step of the rebuild is fairly easy, but tuning it back to operation is where years of experience come into play.

not that hard, the right kit has directions in it .set the carb to where it runs the best ;then take it down to be fine tuned on a scope to peak your performance .

its not hard at all as long as you are very carful and dont lose anything
