I would have to say that the best gifts I have ever received are not the "typical" gifts that men think women love...jewelry, flowers, candy. The BEST gifts have been the ones that involved time and thought...not just money. My husband is a very talented artist and, every holiday, anniversary, or birthday, my tummy flutters with the excitement and anticipation of the beautiful piece of art I will receive. Also, gifts don't have to be "things"...they can be a nice picnic at sunset or a sensual massage with no expectations (because I am just jelly after that!).
Basically, handmade or store bought doesn't matter to me. What IS important is the fact that you paid attention to the things I like or want, you spent time out of your day to do something nice for me, and you went out of your way for no reason other than you enjoy making me smile.

I personally like jewlery, like bracelets and earrings. I also like flowers but not just on b-days or valentine's day, but just because that is sweet.

jewelry is nice, but something personal that shows you really know the woman is nice too ... not something you just buy off the rack and can give to anyone.
