They won and it only takes one win to keep progressing and that is the danger with Brazil, they are always a threat with every game they get through. Some teams start slowly, some come out like a cannon ball. Who knows. we will just have to wait and see.
With that said , I felt less than impressed with their effort and performance today. The were constantly on the back foot against Croatia who played extremely well. Brazil seemed to lose composure and were more interested in taking a dive for an easy free kick every time they came into contact with another player even though most times the contact was minimal, where as Croatia took the contact, took the fall got up and played the game without constant appeals to the referee for freebies. Many teams look better at this early stage. But if they are going to win they really do need to lift their game. The effort displayed today won't be enough. That effort showed they are beatable. They did enough to win but only just. On that form I am encouraged that my Socceroo's may give them a run for their money.

Uh...no....Ecuador just won, do you think they'll be named world cup champions? Just because they won today doesn't mean that they'll be the champions, they got competition and Croatia did a very good job.

I didn't pick them to win before today, and I think this match backed me up. They have two relatively easy matches coming up then they'll have a tough 2nd round match. Will they be up for it after sleepwalking through the 1st round? I think Italy or Germany will win.
