Not so small inflatable type pool approx. 500 gallons. 8ft round X 21in high. I live in SE Alaska and the nearest store that sells pool chemical equipment is on another island and is somewhat difficult to travel to. Is there some recipe of bleach or whatever to keep some sort of pool cleanliness before or after the kids would like to use it? Thanks in advance!

Bleach is used to 'shock' the water... done usually in the winter. Other than that use materials that are specially designed for the pool you have.

Chlorine bleach for shock, soda ash or baking soda for alkilinity, calcium chloride to raise hardness of the water if needed.

No, buy a product specially for that. It's very dangerous to mix cleaning products
