Depends on what he's into. I have a 14 year old boy that's really into skating. So we buy a lot of his clothes at special skate stores. I also have a 12 year old daughter and 10 year old son that also like those type of stores. If he is a trendy kinda guy then I would suggest just going to the local mall and checking out what they are selling. You'll get a pretty good idea of what's in style. The best thing to do however, is to notice what type of style he prefers himself. My daughter is not a girly girl and does not wear what her friends wear. She is herself and trying to change that would be taking away from who she is. All in all, you can't go wrong with a mall giftcard. They can go and pick out what they like from any of the stores. Good Luck!

Stay away from Hollister and American eagle those are over priced and sell junk. I looked in there and almost died when i saw a pair of pants that i would throw out selling for like $60. Its disgusting how they rip you off. The thrift store or good will would be a good place to get hollister and AE type clothing. Walmart works their clothes are inexpensive. Hot topic or spencers have neat shirts, kinda pricy but definately worth it

Old Navy and Target. They have cool styles and prices are good. It's not worth getting him expensive clothes when he's going to grow 3 sizes in a month!
