What continent has the highest number of different natural disasters?

2. Tornadoes
3. Lightning strikes, thunderstorms, floods, storm surge
4. Droughts
5. Volcanoes and volcanic eruptions
6. Earthquakes
7. Wild Fires
8. Blizzards, avalanches, and other snow storms
9. Landslides
10. Diseases

i'd say north america is too.
i think asia has a high number of disasters too.

perception to north america being highly susceptible to disasters is exacerbated by the media i think.
but of course, population density plays a big part in what the media reports.

i'm sure there could be earthquakes, floods, typhoons, etc. in the less densely populated continents ie. antarctica.... but nobody cares to report it.

Probably Asia because it has the largest land mass. People in the US are hypercondriacs and complain alot every time something goes wrong, so people may get the wrong impression that more natural disasters occur there. Its just that every little minor incidence gets over reported.
