By saying that you are not in denial is just proving them more correct. When you answer that question with "No I am not!" it is just telling that person how insecure and unsure of yourself you are. There are two solutions:
1) agree with the person and ask for help.
2) Say you are not in denial and answer with substanial reasons as to why you are not in denial.

When someone says you're in denial but you're not, either thank him/her and/or agree with him/her. Then, ask "Now what?"

I think that someone is very nosy.
No one knows about yourself but you alone. No one could decide what's best for you, but you alone. No one could help you out about any problems in life if you don't like to help yourself.
Among other things, no one could tell you who and what you are aside from those who truly loves and cares for you and it's like they are the mirrors of your life like your parents or best of friends. So if they say something like that, maybe you need to open your mind and ask yourself why do they think like that about you. Maybe, you'll learn something about yourself.

Don't say anything, just smile. It's their problem not yours. You must know whether you are or you're not. If you are and you don't think you are then either you'll wise up later or you'll be living in ignorant bliss (which is quite nice!)
