Perhaps you should leave. She may be upset that you are in her space at a time when things aren't going well for her.
If you want to encourage her, tell her to get involved with some music groups. An aspiring singer should learn to sing lots of styles of music, not just one. Besides, you never know who you might meet in a group.
This may not be her thing, but try a community choral group. Our community group has some really cute young guys in it who have amazing voices. Nothing sexier than a guy who can sing.
Anyway, church choir, community choir, a chorus part in a musical theatre production, it's all good experience and exposure to the community. Many times these groups are asked to perform for high profile events, like professional ball games and festivals. Anyone who is "aspiring" to something needs exposure to as much of it and as many other people involved in it as possible. Like I said, you never know who you'll meet. People don't live in a vaccuum and everyone has connections to other areas, especially people who are involved in music.

You are a very caring person. You could offer to help her with her career. There might be things that you could do for her and this would also show her that someone cares about her and is interested in her life. This would also allow her to open up to you and would possibly give her the confidence to try a little harder to find work/friends. If she is showing signs of clinical depression such as: not eating or overeating, sleeping a lot, sloppy personal hygiene, then I would suggest that (if you feel comfortable) you talk to her mom and mention your concerns. There are many other indications of depression, research the internet or read about it.
good luck.

Take her out somewhere, maybe tto a under 21 club so that she can sing in public. this way you would be getting her out of the house and helping her with her career.

Build up her morale by letting her know you believe in her as a singer. Talk to her about her talent and help her discover her strengths and enhance them, and reveal her weaknesses and work on converting them to positive energy to fuel her ambition. Be honest and get genuinely interested.
