What was it for ? What was it like? Did it hurt a lot? Did you have to get lots of shots? I have to have a procedure done and I'm nervous.

I had my gall bladder out a couple of years ago. The surgery itself wasn't bad at all. I did have a lot of shots but that was because I was in such severe pain. They gave me a shot of demerol every 4 hours the whole 2 weeks before surgery. Also because my gall bladder was so bad it infected my liver and pancreas, so with my pancreas not working properly I had to have insulin shots too. But most people who had a normal surgery all say that the only needle they got was the IV. Most medication they need to give you goes through the IV.

yup...2 major ones, and a minor one...one was gall bladder, the other day i had surgery done on my shoulder, and a few years ago i had my wisdom teeth out.

you'll be fine....they will give you a shot/iv to relax, and before you know it you're awake and it's all over....and it feels like 2 minutes....

be sure to follow the docs instructions...and you'll be fine...

it's natural to be nervous...i was a little freaked the night before....but really had myself worried about things that weren't even related to the surgery...

you'll be fine....what is the procedure for?

good luck!

yep. gallbladder removed and a kidney stone removed with a stent placed. No it didn't hurt because they put you to sleep. You will have to have an IV, that a needle in the arm, so they can give you medicine. What are you having done?
