tell her to express whats on her mind. even/esp if its something kind of point less. like maybe what she thinks about school lunch, the kind of shoes she has, the reason why birds can fly and we cant. let her know that she should write about everything in the world until theres nothing to write about. Write about animals, kitchen appliences, the blue toilet water, cartoons on tv, why mommy or daddy has to get up so early, her favorite subject in school, her least favorite school teacher, why the sky is blue. I'm just throwing things out there, if ya need anything else let me know.

She shouldn't need a topic...what she writes in her journal should be from her own heart. She should write about feelings, crappy days, friendships, outlooks on life in general. I've kept a journal since I was 12 - I'm 30 now and I still pull my old ones out. It's interesting to go back and see how much you have grown as a person when you can look back at your views from an adolescent mind.

-If you could change places with a person for a day, who would it be and why?
-What do you want to do after college?
-If you could change a person's life, who would that person be and what would you do to change it?
-If you won the lottery what are the top 10 things you would do with the money?
-Pick an animal that you think you are most like and give 5 reason why your like that animal and why you picked that animal.
-Who is the one person you admire the most?
-If you could make up a holiday, on which day and month would it be and what would you call it?
-Where do you see yourself in 15 years?
-What are 10 things you want to accomplish before your 30 years old?

I hope this helps.

dont give her topics! to her that will be like school work! I am 13 and hate being given spesific asignments! just tell her to write in it what she feels! a journal is a place to write your secrets and to express your self! i have 5 differant ones! each one for a differant thing!

You shouldnt really give her topics and ideas to write about in her journal. A Journal issomething she should feel comfortable writing about her thoughts, feeling and what she did that day. She shouldnt feel she has to write about something you want her too.

If she doesn't want to write in her journal, don't force her. Journals work for some people, and for others it doesn't.
