I was sitting at a table in a diner and I see a waiter spit in someone's coffee cup before he serves it to the unbeknownst customer.
I knew I was the only one who saw, what should I have done?
What would you (really) do?? AND why??

walk up to the person with the coffee and inform them that something may have happened to their coffee and not to drink it and that youll buy them another one if you are wrong.

go to the manager second. ask the manager to not let the waiter know who it was that told on him. you dont want to end up with spit in your coffee the next time...

Hey to say it...but that's a lawsuit ready to happen. You witnessed a waiter do that!!! It's not cool not to say anything....this waiter would do it again at this same restaurant or even worse. And it could be a relative or friend of yours on the receiving end next time. You should report it!

Confront the waiter. Inform the customer and restaurant manager.

I guess that depends on the customer. I can think of people who deserve such treatment. I think the waiter's mistake was doing it in front of a witness.

(Sorry if that seems harsh, but i really do believe some people's actions merit such a response.)

I believe I would've stood up and yelled at the waiter and made the biggest scene possible, that ****** needs to be brought down a peg or two.

You should let the waiter know that you saw him. Make sure you do it in front of the customer who recieved the added flavor in his coffee.

You should have told the manager. That kind of service affects all of us. We should be comfortable knowing that our food isn't tampered with.
