People me not to get it done. The problem is, I already had it done. I took it out and I still can't figure out why people think it is wrong. Can anyone tell me??

nothing's wrong with tongue rings, it's just that some people may get the wrong idea about you.

LOL @ what some of these people say...A lot of women think men with tongue rings are hawt (me included). YES they can chip your teeth, if you use the metal types, however they make softer ones that are 100% fine to wear and will not chip your teeth. NO it doesnt nescessarily effect your speech either. I have had my tongue pierced for 6 yrs now and have had no problems what so ever. If you want it, keep it.

There is nothing wrong with them. If you like it then it's your decision. I personally like them even though I do not have one myself. I know 5 or 6 different people who have or have had them and they are all up in management positions at their jobs. Most people don't even notice unless you are playing with it or it's like a huge hoop. I say keep it and piss on the people who judge you on appearances!

Nothing is wrong with them, everybody has their on voice about what they think about them, but what you really need to focu on is how you feel about them. To me it's an expression...so just figure out what you feel about them, and dont care what other people say.

For One thing they a effect your speech..I guess if your not a professional It won't matter. another thing they tend to be a distraction when you are talking to someone....or when people are constantly playing with them is also annoying. Other than those reasons I don't see a problem with as long as you keep it in your mouth.

it all has to do with peoples values and ethics, the more uptight you are, the more you would think it's wrong i believe. there is nothing wrong with tounge piercings or tattoo's or anything you do to your body, because, and those who are weak hearted(conservative types) might not wanna read this, it's your body and no one elses, it's your choice and your life.

Nothing except the first or second day they really hurt....esspecially when you do it your self!
its really hard to talk normall for a while!
Listen its your body so you do what you want!
Im just a kid so you don't have to listen to me...but I had it done...by myslef and it hurts!!!
But you don't have to care what other people say!!

They're dangerous to get pierced, if you go to someone who doesn't know what they're doing. There's a pretty important nerve or vein in your tongue that can be punctured.

Tapping it agnaist your front teeth enough can crack your teeth. I saw something about it on the discovery channel and the guy had a big hole between his two front teeth from it. That's the only bad thing about it.

In a way its bad because some people get them for oral sex and some get them because they look nice
