I don't know? We use Kool Aid, the red one, because you can tell if it leaks. Maybe he chewed a hole in the rubber ring?
Try Kool Aid.

I am now scientist, but I will give it a shot. Soda is a thinner liquid than milk and it is carbonated. The acid in Soda eats away at the rubber seal in the bottle ring causes it to leak. How was that.

Seriously? You do realize you posted in the NEWBORN/BABY section, right? Soda isn't only nutritionally wastful, providing only sugar for "food", but it actually takes valuable nutrients from your baby's body, such as calcium and vitamins B and C. I wouldn't worry about soda leaking from the child's bottle, I'd be more worried about things like bottle rot and rickets and ADHD later on in his life, not to mention gas pains in the here and now. Do you have a "colicky" baby?

Good God, why on earth are you feeding him soda?! Give him WATER, FORMULA, MILK, APPLE JUICE, GRAPE JUICE, ANYTHING but soda.

Soda has caffeine, A TON of sugar, all kinds of unnatural things and chemicals that his little baby body does NOT need and has difficulty processing. And besides, you DO NOT want him getting used to drinking soda at this early an age. Keep him healthy!!

Do half and half. Water and whatever soda you want to feed you kid. Don't all these other people tell you its wrong cuz its not. Having soda as a kid does nothing but get them hyper for a few hours. They burn off the energy quick. Your the parent do as you please. Just remember the water next time and it wont fizz out anymore. And as far as the baby's teeth decaying, they are his baby teeth! They'll grow back.=)

Your son shouldn't have soda in his bottle. You want a child with no teeth or rotting teeth? You should see my boyfriends daughter she has to get her teeth pulled and she's 2. Don't do it anymore.

Because you left out the rum, when you put rum in the soda it also has a calming effect, it helps them to sleep and you can have a more peaceful day.
