Why?

Is there a Hogwarts Hockey team?

Maybe the kids want a Molson?

I don't think so.

Is for no other reason they sound too American. That is if they speak English. A good number prefer to speak French.

This is a "English" fantasy.

The last movie should have mad that painfully clear. A French school, A German school and of course an ENGLISH school.

Why mess with the illusion by having one of the teachers say "Oye" or some other Canadian utterance.

Of course. Canadians have done many things for the U.S.! Most U.S. movies and shows are shot in Canada. Plus. Harry Potter and most of the people in the movie have a sort of English or Canadian (I don't know) accent. Also, Canada and the U.S. are like brothers!

I personally think that they should allow anyone to apply for the job of an extra. However, seeing as the book series is set in the United Kingdom than the main roles and roles of the characters mentioned in the book should only be allowed to people from the United Kingdom.

I am Canadian and i don't think they should use non-British actors for the Harry Potter movies. They have plenty enough great actors at home without raiding the colonies.

Yes I do. Because their are Provinces in Canada, that are "French Canadian" and the accents, may just apply to their liking. Or, anyone from Canada that can do accents well.......Could very well, go down and audition. Look-up, her name, then put in for a suggestion for the Canadian's!Good-Luck!

Sure, if you can play British or there is a Canadian character in the next movie (or some other nationality accent that you can do)

Personally, I don't think so. That would take away the authenticity of the movies. I want to focus on the plot and character developments rather than how so and so can't pull off a decent british accent.

They mentioned in the last film there is an American Wizard school, so maby Canucks can try to get in that film.
If there were real Canadian Wizards, I guess a SOUTHERN US hockey team wiuldn't have won the Stanley cup, huh?

They can't allow people from Canada to audition because J.K Rowling had it put in contracts with Warner Bros. to only use Brittish actors. If they use anyone without J.K Rowlings permission, she can sue Warner Bros. for breech of contract.
