It might disturb the person/persons finding my body and my immediate family...but I would not care. What's the difference between burning or rotting in a box under ground or rotting in the woods?

Not in the least. I loathe all the religious clap-trap spouted over the dead,, and the waste of flowers that should have been given during life. What about all the maudlin rubbish printed in the papers???" Dearly beloved father" "Sadly missed" "Sleep tight gran".....with a few tragic exceptions, the deceased havent seen a family member for years, especially once they have been dumped into a home so that the relatives could divvy up the house and contents!!! I want a woodland burial, no black, no hymns, no flowers, just a corpse in a hole, thats all we end up as.....every one of us!! Even the relatives who appear out of the woodwork if there might be money involved!!

It disturbs me thinking about it now but well I'd be dead so I suppose it wouldn't matter at the time. Only if my family were around and knew about it or some poor person stumbled upon me whilst out walking their dog.
Overall it's a fairly miserable idea really.

I am an organ donor and then giving what's left to Science or a Med. School. If there is anything left, I wouldn't want to sit on my kids mantle in an urn, so the woods don't sound so bad.

I think it would disturb my family more, The way I see it is my soul could be where it always is, with the ones I love and my body well without my soul I am just a shell!

I saw a program about this, people donated their bodies to be left in woods to decompose naturally, this helps people training in Forensics to learn about how the body decomposes and insects etc, it's a great learning tool, I think it would be good to be used in education even in death.

the thought disturbs me yes...I dont want to be dumped anywhere... I especially dont like to think about dying... its inevitable I know but right now I just want to focus on life.. I dont want to dwell on my death to much... All I care is that when I die I can give my children something to remember me by except for my debts... and that no one forgets about me... The thought of being buried anywhere disturbs me... I wanna be cryogenically frozen or whatever you call it, like Walt Disney :) or put in a secure vault... because the thought of bugs crawling in me disturbs me as well...

I have always wanted when I die, for my loved ones to use a catapult to hurl me into the tundra where my corpse would be torn to pieces by ravenous wolves and polar bears.
So, I guess I wouldn't be too upset if they just left me in the woods instead.

Yes it would. I get really creeped out by shows like CSI or Cold Case Files when murders just throw bodies wherever. I hope that doesn't happen to me.
