Everyone has to start somewhere. In my experience it may actually help you in an entry level position if you have been out learning and doing things in life. However, if it comes down to you and someone with work experience they definately have a heads up....unless of course they were fired.

If you're applying for retail....most places don't give a damn if you've ever held a job or not. They just want an available and able-bodied worker.

If you're looking to go professional some kind of experience in the field you're applying for is usually required.

depends on what you're trying to get. most professional jobs will need you to have some sort of experience in order to get hired. if you're looking fo hourly or labor work then it should be fairly easy. It also makes a difference as to what sort of work you're looking for. be more specific about the kind of job you're looking to get and maybe it'll be easier to figure out how to get the job you want.

No, but it will limit your selection to those which require no previous experience. After acquiring some experience your options will expand.
References (people who will testify that you're honest, diligent and reliable etc), credentials and personal characteristics among other things will assist in alleviating this possible hurdle.
