Teenagers are kids. Theyre young adults but theyre still considered juvenile. You dont realize how young you really are as a teenager until you've been an adult for a while. Theres no other way to gain that sense of perspective.

I dont look down on teenagers, but i do cringe at their painful ignorance towards life and social situations, and complete disregard for being part of a society.

The simple truth is, whether people like it or not, the youth shape our world, and everything is for the purpose of them having it. The problem is a lack of thoughtful parenting, that results in children who are completely unprepared for life in the real world.

In many ways, teenagers still are kids, however it is unfair how our society in particular treats teens with absolutely no respect.
What particularly chills me is the young people of today are the future. Respect them, they'll choose the nursing homes of the current adult population.

It depends on how you proceive yourself. When I was a teenager I wanted people to respect me and notice who I was. So I started acting more responsible and more mature and within a period of time people started to notice. You have to earn this and it doesn't happen overnight!! Be patient, if you work at it hard enough it will be worth it!!

:-) Having recently been a teenager, (I'm 22 now) I can say with certainty that I WAS just a kid. In some ways, I still am. Don't worry, it'll get better.

I agree! I don't understand why we're looked down upon so much as children...and I don't even act like a kid! (Many of my parents friends say I act way older than my 15...and sounds way older on the phone too.)

Im 16, but i'm sorry you are sort of acting childish... "not fair!" Many people on this that ask the perverted questions or answer stupidly are teens... and they give us a bad name.

Teenagers ARE kids... period. I have 2 teenage daughters.... I suppose you assume I am to treat them as adults? Haha... No! Teens still act childish in many, many ways... therefore they are treated as such.

I'm a teen, and I've got to say that in many ways, we are still kids. Yeah, we know more than our kid brothers and sisters, but even though we want to think we know it all, we really don't, but I can definitly see your point.

sorry, but when teens ask childish questions and give childish answers you will most likely be treated as child. Think you question / answer out FIRST :-) Good Luck
