Yes, there's definitely a limit, at least for me there is. When I am no longer able to contribute to the welfare of my family and instead become a net drain on them, then it will be time to go. I have great admiration for the tradition of the Nez Perce Indians. When their older people were no longer of help to the tribe, they simply wandered out into the wilderness never to return.

I won't be quite that dramatic, but neither will I die hooked up to tubes and machines in some hospital. My Living Will and Medical Power of Attorney take care of that little problem.

I would not want to live beyond the time that I stopped loving people and they stopped loving me. I think I may outlive some of my children. One of them smokes, and I never have. I try to be healthy. Healthy means *to me) that I could eat, dress, and do other things without help. I want to not be a burden.

I want to live long enough to see the year 2100, which means I need to make it to 126 years old. Silly, yes, but it's an idea that popped into my head as a kid, and it's still there. So I'll be preparing for that for many decades, living my life as happily and healthily as possible.

Yeah, i dont want to live to be so old i cant function. If i was in good physical shape and things like that, then maybe i would live a little bit longer. But if i couldnt see, hear, have sex ;), or anything like that anymore, then i wouldnt want to live much longer.
