I have a bet riding on this - How many pairs of shoes are enough?

How many do you personally have and do you sneak a new pair in the house so you mate isn't annoyed?

If your a woman you probably never have enough....but I would think being reasonable 6 would be plenty....three dress pairs a couple sneaks and a pair of sandals... but as a Man I think men should have no more than 5 .....a couple of dress shoes, a pair of sneakers and a pair of sandals and of course work boots.

Are there ever ENOUGH shoes? I guess if you had to get practical and only have a few you could downsize....

If that's the case you would need 1 pair of black dress shoes, 1 pair of brown dress shoes, 1 pair of sneakers, 1 pair of sandals, and 1 pair of either house shoes or flip flops.

I have 4 pair - one nice pair of walking shoes, a pair of sandals, a pair of black pumps, and a pair of old walking shoes for kicking around in..... I have never sneaked anything I've purchased into the house, I'm not really into shopping, and we usually go shopping together.

a brown pair, a black pair and tennis shoes and flip flops and house slippers are enough. only the richest people in the earth have to worry about dumb things like this, more than half of the pepole on the earth have no shoes or one pair. so you should give some away and stop being self centered so and wasteful of the earth natural resources. every time you put on a pair of shoes you should feel guilty about all thoes aids orphans in africa that have no parents or food to eat. when is enough, enough when should we say we have enough and start helping thoes who have less.

That's a twofold question. For men you need a pair of sneakers, boots, black and brown dress shoes, sandels, and running shoes.

Women on the other hand are more likely to have a pair that goes with different outfits. given how many women like a wide assortment of outfits i'd say it's exponential.

GIRLS ONLY
3 pairs of dress shoes (1 sexy, 1 kinda comfy, & 1 suitable for work)

2 pairs of flip-flops (one plastic, one the cloth stuff)

2 pairs of clogs

1 pair of hiking boots (depending on where you live or if youre into that stuff)

1 pair of sexy-lookin boots

2 pairs of tennis shoes (one for sports/running, one for everyday stuff)

so ya, 11 pairs of shoes......sad that I took up the time to think about it :P


and I don't have a mate, and even if i did, i wouldnt sneak in shoes

For summer:
1 pair black dressy sandals
1 pair white dressy sandals
1 pair neutral dressy sandals
Red, brown, and navy dressy sandals aren't necessary, but aren't too much either. Any colors after that are just for fun.

For winter:
1 pair tall black boots, low heel
1 pair tall black boots, high heel
1 pair tall neutral color boots, any heel
Both can be worn with skirts or pants
1 pair winter boots (fur lined)

General:
1 pair Motorcycle boots (for the bike, so they don't count!)
1 pair tennis shoes
1 pair flip flops/scuffs
1 pair neutral low heel sandals

I do have a few more than what I've named, but .... well but nothing! I think what I've named is completely reasonable. Maybe not strictly necessary, but after all, we wear a lot more colors than guys do; we need the various styles and colors!

For guys, all you really need is 2. One dress pair, and one pair of sneakers or daily wear type shoes.

For girls, there's a whole theory....

The blact strappy ones only look good with my red dress, the sandles, i can't wear with jeans, i can't wear white sneakers if i'm wearing all dark colors and i can't wear black shoes with a khaki outfit. I have to wear something nice for work, but it's not the same thing i'd wear downtown.....

In short, you really can't have too many. But you know you do when the pair you bought yesterday look mysteriously like 2 other pairs you already have in your closet.....

a WOMAN NEVER HAS ENOUGH SHOES. I have about 32 or so pairs. I dont sneak shoes. Its my $ and I'll buy what I want. Just make sure u don't leave them laying around for him to trip over. Then he wont have anything to ***** about.
