I would say he is growing, babies need sleep. Just keep an eye on him he should be fine. If you are really really concerned about it you could his Dr. and they will tell you if it is ok or need to take him in. I think he is just fine, he is sleeping because he is growing and maybe trying to fit off a cold or something. Just keep checking in on him to make sure he is breathing and he will be fine.

3 month old babies tend to sleep about 15 hours per 24 hour period, but the length of time your baby is sleeping at one time may be a concern. I am a mom of 3 and my babies never slept that long at once. Maybe you are fortunate. :-) However, I would check with your baby's doctor if you are concerned and if this continues.

Actually that's not normal for a 3 month old. But as long as they are getting enough wet diapers, which means they are eating enough, dont complain. Most babys that age are normally eating every 3 to 5 hours. So, if he is not ill, not to worry. Enjoy the peace and quiet while it last.

My son had a spurt like that a few weeks ago. I asked the same question and one mom said that it was a growth spurt. I'd have to agree because after that - he really sprouted!

My boy sleeps a very similar pattern, check it out with your doctor if you are worried. I did, and was told that was his sleeping routine, and just to keep a sleep diary.
