Squats: Grab something heavy, one in each hand (milk jugs filled with water work well here). Bend your knees, stand back up.
Lunges: Still holding the milk jugs (less water than you used with squats) step forward and lower your upper body, but keep it upright. With your bent (forward) leg, push up and return to your starting position.
Run! Even if only for a little bit, then walk, then run again.
Go up and down your stairs a bunch of times, with or without weight in your hands.
Sit in a chair, and extend your legs straight out. Hold for a second or two, then put them back down.
At first, do each exercise 10 times (1 set) per day. Run/walk for 5 mins. Gradually work your way up to 3 sets with respectable weight and run/walk for 30 mins or more.
Don't eat any fatty foods and don't drink anything by water!!!

Sure...I think the best work out for the butt that I have found is easy and you can do in your home. I dont know what its called but I'll try to describe it. (you may have tried it already) 1. Get on your hands and knees 2. Switching from each leg, take one leg and swing it back so your foot goes up toward the ceiling. (keep your knee bent) 3. Do about 15 reps on each side.

either squats, stand with legs a part and bend at the knee, keep you back up straight and pucker your butt. do 3-5 reps with as many as you can do. It sometimes helps to stand against a wall, it makes tv watching fun.
also, you can be all fours. hands on the floor, knees on the floor. one leg at a time, extend and push up to the ceiling, doing reps. switch legs, you'll really feel in your gluts. great way to firm a bit.
Finally, if you have stairs in your house, do stair work outs. anytime, any chance, take the stairs.

Actually , no you don't have to leave your house to work out your butt.
Something that is very good for your butt and also your legs is using a step-er to workout.
