I think the reason some people get married when they are not in love is because they are trying to fulfill their psychosocial needs by simply "pretending" they are in love with this person. A lot of it may be because they are too insecure and think they will never find anyone that will love them. Another big reason why people marry people they don't love is for financial stability.

Sometimes women feel as if they are not married by a certain age they will be destined to be alone for the rest of their lives.

Absolutely no clue. Probably because this culture dictates that it's better to be divorced than never married. I feel the exact opposite. I didn't want the baggage of an ex-wife.

Independence from their family, escape from oppression, financial stability, convenience, stupidity, green-cards, boredom, fear of dying alone, the expectations of their families, business, some women get married just to have a wedding....hummm anything I've forgotten?

Freedom, to be legal, they dnt kno wat love is, they can feel threatened or pressured, money
overall i think its for freedom... many people want to get away from their family (especially young girls) and they get married. very stupid!
